Caregiving National Alliance
The National Alliance for Caregiving is a group of non-profit organizations from across the country that work to improve family caregiving through research, new ideas, and advocacy. Alliance members include grassroots groups, professional associations, service organizations, disease-specific groups, government agencies, and corporations.

The Caregiver Action Network
The Caregiver Action Network is the largest family caregiver organization in the United States. It works to improve the quality of life for the more than 65 million Americans who care for loved ones with chronic conditions, disabilities, diseases, or the frailties of old age. CAN helps a wide range of family caregivers, from the parents of children with special needs to the families and friends of wounded soldiers, from a young couple dealing with a diagnosis of MS to adult children taking care of parents with Alzheimer’s disease. CAN, which used to be called the National Family Caregivers Association, is a non-profit group that gives family caregivers across the country free education, peer support, and resources.

Home Care and Hospice Association of the United States
NAHC is the largest group in the country that looks out for the interests of home care, hospice, and home care aide organizations.

Village at Belmar
The Village at Belmar is in the Colorado city of Lakewood. It has the unique features of a campus-style senior living community and is close to the well-known Belmar Shopping District, which can be reached on foot.

Alzheimer’s Resources
Alzheimer’s Foundation of America helps people with dementia and their families and caregivers get the best care and services possible.

The Colorado Association for Alzheimer’s
The Alzheimer’s Association Colorado Chapter has been leading the fight against Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders for more than 25 years. They do this by helping people learn more about dementia and how it affects family and community, giving people with dementia information and support, and promoting research.

Education and Referral Center for Alzheimer’s Disease
In 1990, the U.S. Congress set up the Alzheimer’s Disease Education and Referral (ADEAR) Center to “gather, store, and share information about Alzheimer’s disease” for health professionals, people with AD and their families, and the general public. The NIA is the main Federal agency for Alzheimer’s disease research and does research on health issues that affect older people.
